Request to preserve Pandaravannian Fort within Mulaitheevu District Secretariat

Although, several factions have called for the preservation of the Pandaravannian Fort , within the Mulaitheevu District Secretariat, which is deteriorating and in a state of dilapidation. In a context only a small portion of the Fort being remaining no action had been taken to preserve the identity of Tamil rule in the area, it is learnt.

Some time back, the Northern Provincial Council  erected a statue of Pandaravannian facing the remains of the Fort. Although it was promised that a shed will be erected over the remains of the Fort, no action had been taken to do so.

People expressed their concern over this and called for speedy action to preserve this  relic..
