Shocking discoveries at Mannar mass grave: More than 40 skeletons recovered so far!
Following human remains being found in excavated soil at Mannar Sathosa, excavations had been undertaken there. In this context, two human skeletons were found close to each other in an embracing position.
After several human remains were found in the original site, the search area had been extended now and excavations done in the extended area. Shocking finds were made day before yesterday in the extended area.
The excavations were carried out for the 36th day yesterday, Wednesday. Cleaning the already found skeletons was undertaken yesterday along with excavations in the 5′ wide extended area. Human remains had been discovered in the newly extended area.
So far around 40 skeletons and skulls have been recovered. 27 skeletons and skulls have been cleaned and removed for storage, it is reported. An article resembling girl’s bangles also had been found at the site.
