Signature campaign in Jaffna demanding the release of lands of people under the control of the Army
A signature campaign was undertaken yesterday demanding the release of people’s lands which are currently under the control of the Security Forces and to fulfill the promises given by the President to the people, in front of the Jaffna Main Bus Stand.
The second day of the vehicle rally to Colombo of the National Fishermen cooperation Movement, which commenced in Mulaitheevu day before yesterday was held as a Signature campaign in Jaffna. The people who participated in this campaign carried placards with slogans calling for the release of the people’s lands.
This rally will visit all districts of the North, collect signatures and proceed towards Colombo, reaching it on the 2nd, it was reported.
