Sinhala Colonization in Mulaitheevu District – NPC decides to hold Protest Rally on 10th
The Leader of the House, NPC, C.V.K.Sivagnanam announced yesterday that a protest Rally to be led by MPcs is to be held in front of Mulaitheevu on the 10th against the increasing Sinhala Colonization in Mulaitheevu District.
A special sitting of the NPC for discussing the planned Sinhala Colonization undertaken in Mulaitheevu District was held yesterday presided by the Leader of the House, NPC, C.V.K.Sivagnanam. He made the above announcement in this sitting.
We organized this discussion with regard to the planned Sinhala Colonization undertaken in Mulaitheevu District. You all had put forward several opinions here. The Colonization is being undertaken not only in Mullaitheevu but also at several locations in Vanni.
We shall take two types of actions to prevent. We shall visit the locations where the colonization in undertaken on the 10th and all the Members of NPC will hold Protest rally in front the District Secretariat, Mulaitheevu and at the end of the protest will hand over a memorandum to the District Secretary. Our demand will be insisted with the CM and we will meet our Parliamentarians relevant to this, he said.
