Speak with Sushma Suwaraj: Sampanthan requested by Northern Fishermen Federation

The Northern Province Fishermen’s Federation had sent a six- point letter to the Leader of the Opposition Era Sampanthan, requesting him to talk to Sushma Suwaraj regarding the problems confronting the Northern Fishermen due to the Transgression of Indian Fishermen.

* The transgression of Indian Fishermen into our coastal area.

*Tamil people who just emerged from the tragedies of war, being unable to carry out their livelihood freely.

*The Coral reefs which are breeding grounds for marine life being destroyed by Trawling. denying the natural resources to our future generation.

*Several hundreds of thousands Rupees  worth  of nets and equipment being destroyed , are some of the pointed out matters in this letter..
