Sri Lankan Navy bound our hands behind back and assaulted us: Indian Fishermen tell the court

The Sri Lankan Navy   surrounded us, bound our hands behind our back and assaulted us mercilessly with ropes and rifle butts, said the arrested Indian fishermen, in court yesterday.

The judge ordered the Prison guards to subject three fishermen out of the 37 who were arrested closer to Point Pedro sea area, who claimed that they were assaulted , to Medical Examination, and ordered the officers of the Fisheries and Aquatic Resources Department,  to submit the Medical Report on the next case date.
