Struggle to draw the attention of the Government, by Relatives of people made disappear
The Government which came to power on our votes had forgotten us. It continues to keep mum about the persons made to disappear. We have lost the meagre confidence we had on the Government, said the Relatives of the persons made to disappear who are on a continuous struggle.
Relatives of persons made to disappear are undertaking continuous struggles in Kilinochchi, Vavuniya, Mannar, Mulaitheevu, Jaffna and Trincomalee. Although their struggle had gone on for 5 months, no relief had been given to them. They are withering by the roadsides holding the photographs of their dear ones waiting for solution. “ No information has been received about the fate of our relatives who went missing after surrendering, handed over to and arrested by the Army during the last war.
