Symbolic Fasting by relatives of Fasting TPPs
Under the Organization of Mannar Citizen’s group and the Organization for the People affected war, the relatives of the TPPs (Tamil Political Prisoners) and other held a symbolic fasting calling the release the TPPs immediately.
On their 15th day of fasting today , the TPPs have refused to take medical help. People including, Mp, Siritharan, NPC Minister P.Ainkaranesan, Secretary of the Tamil National People Front, Selvarajah Kajendran, NPC Member K.Paramsothy, participated in this symbolic fasting.
It was announced that this fasting will be followed by similar fasts will be held in all districts of the North and the support of all including MPs, NPC members and the public had been solicited.
