Tamil and Muslim must unite, says the TNA Leader, Sampanthan

The Tamil people and Muslim people should unite together, that is the only way to achieve complete Power Devolution. All activities undertaken in the past, for the solution to ethnic problem were not undertaken solely for Tamil people but, they were undertaken for the Tamil speaking people. Hence, Tamil and Muslim people should unite under one umbrella, said the Leader of the TNA, Era Sampanthan.

The renovated Integrated Model farm premises were opened yesterday in the Batticaloa District. participating as the chief guest, Era Sampanthan further said.

Several negotiations had been undertaken in the past 35 years and currently the devolution power had progressed much.TPC and NPC had forwarded their suggestion for solutions. The Constitution Committee had received several proposals and they will submit their recommendations to the government by the end of the month.

Our people had ratified a solution of granting complete and faithful power devolution within an undivided country, through which the Tamil and Muslims could live with equity, equality and peace and with their birth rights ensured. We anticipate that a solution achieved on this basis will be sustainable one and we are moving forward keeping this in the front. A fair solution should be reached for the National problem. President and his government are firm on this.

He we should be united. We should act without allowing injustices done to others. All of us should fulfill this duty, he said.
