Tamil National Party formed by those who left TELO- President – Sri Kantha, Secretary  – Sivajilingam.

A new Tamil political Party has been inaugurated with Attorney at Law, Sri Kantha as President. The new party has been named “ Tamil National Party”

Sri Kantha announced yesterday that the new party had been formed to fulfill the aspirations of the Tamil people.

The new party dedicate itself to act as the war sword of Tamil people and as the shield of the Tamil people. While keeping in mind that the Tamil race wishes to live ruling itself and with freedom, the Tamil National Party will do everything possible towards this.

Sivajilingam has been elected as the secretary, while, Senior Attorney at Law  Sivagurunathan as the Vice-President, Attorney at Law Jeyakanthan as the Legal Secretary and Silvester Wimalraj as National Organizer.

A dispute rose up in the matter of supporting whom in the Presidential Election and Sri Kantha resigned from TELO and announced a formation of a party.

And the new party had been formed now. Sri Kantha also announced that their party is prepared to form an alliance with that Tamil Makkal Kooddany of justice Wickneswaran.
