Tamil Parties decide to submit draft recommendation on New Constitution – 5 appointed

The Tamil Parties have decided yesterday to submit a draft recommendation for the new Constitution and 5-member committee has been appointed led by Mawai Senathyrasa.

The representatives of Tamil Parties including Mawai Senathyrasa, E.Saravanabawan, C.V.K. Sivagnanam (ITAK), Kajatheepan(PLOT), Arunthavapalan, Prof. K.Sivanathan (TMK), Suresh Premachandran( EPRLF), N.Srikantha, M.K.Sivajilingam( TNP), P.Ainkaranesan( TNGM) and Ananthy Sasitharan( ETAO) participated in this meeting.

The Government has called for recommendations for the new Constitution to be submitted before December 31.

After deliberations it was decided to submit a draft recommendations to the Constitution and a 5-man committee including C.V.K. Sivagnanam, Suresh Premachandran, M.K.Sivajilingam and Prof. Sivanathan to be led Mawai Senathyrasa, has been appointed to draft the recommendations to the Constitution.
