Tamil People are living under the domination of 150,000 military personnel: Chief Minister Wigneswaran

The Chief Minister of NPC had said that, as we have not opted to go separate and had consented to live with the Sinhala people, they should give us all cooperation. When the country gained independence, joined with the other people and got immersed in the demand of  Sovereignty of people of Sri Lanka without asking for Sovereignty exclusively for them. Hence the Northern Provincial Council’s draft with regard to solution for ethnic problem had not spoken about it but  is insisting on the Right of Self Determination of the Tamil people on the basis of what kind of fitness a people group  should posses to preserve the uniqueness  as found in the International covenants.

Chief Minister C.V.Wigneswaran said this, when the draft of the NPC, which had insisted on a solution of Federal System on Friday.

Declaring that,  no race would like to be subjugated continuously, the CM said that, anybody could say no, but the reality is that the Tamil people are living under the domination of One hundred and fifty thousand Army men.
