Tamil People’s Council re-formed by the CM, C.V.Wigneswaran
The Chief Minister and one of the Co-chairs of the Tamil People’s Council has re-structured the council. So far, the decisions of the Council were taken by the Central Committee of the Council. Now this responsibility has been handed over to a new Committee.
“ While we have assembled here as Central Committee, we consider it necessary to hand over the decision making task to committee with non-political people in directing our objectives. This central committee will continue to function as earlier. We consider it appropriate to appoint a committee of people without political affiliation to advice the Central Committee as and when the need arise.
The final decision will rest with this committee. This will be useful in not taking politically influenced decision and taking the decisions with the objective of the movement as the basis.”, the CM has said and has appointed a committee of 11 persons.
