Tamils were safe during the period of Tigers, to say the truth we are not terrorists, Says the CM

While saying that, no one of us will become terrorists just because we say the truth that, Tamils were safe during the Period of Tigers, the NPC CM, C.V.Wigneswaran also warned those in the south to stop calling us terrorists, whenever we demand for our rights.

He has said so when ask to comment about the uproar caused in the south by State Minister Wijayakala Maheswaran’s statement of “ We want to re organize Tigers….”

Anybody has right to criticize the safe conditions of earlier times and un-safe situation prevailing now. I don’t understand what is wrong in her saying the safety less situation now should change and safer situation should come. It is a fact that our people lived safely earlier. A young girl was able to wear golden jewellery and safely go alone at even mid-night, during that time. This is a fact known the world over.

Current days are rife with sword slashing, violence, rape and drugs abuse. I have asked to recall Army and give us police powers and we will stop all violence. It is regrettable that the southerners are reflecting their inherent hatreds without understanding our statements.

I call up on the Southern leaders to come forward to discuss with us and to establish Federal based Constitution  without criticizing our statements and calling us Terrorist every time we ask for our rights, he said.
