TELO to take disciplinary action against Deneeswaran
The TELO Party has issued a press release, indicating that disciplinary action will be taken soon against Minister Deneeswaran and that a special politburo meeting will be held 19th in Vavuniya.
A press release put out yesterday by the General Secretary of the Party, N.Srikantha says as follows:
In a context where disciplinary action had been taken against Minister Deneeswaran, he had missed a chance to compound the problem cordially.
In the politburo meeting of our party held on 12th, he was present at this meeting and gave his explanation. In this context it was made known to him that if he resigns the Minister post the disciplinary action against him would be brought to a cordial conclusion.
he was also given a day’s time to decide on resigning his post.
However, Minister Deneeswaran had rejected the chance given to him and had declared it in a press conference.
Partry had been compelled to take disciplinary action very soon. It had been decided to hold the politburo meeting of the party relevant to this at Vavuniya on the 19th.
