The Court will not ban peaceful demonstrations: Jaffna Magistrate

The Jaffna Magistrate Ganesharajah had informed the police the people have the right to democratic demonstration to stop from doing so is against the constitution.

Earlier police applied for a ban on a demonstration by people of Thikkam, at Thikkam junction and the procession from there to hand over a memorandum to the Point Pedro Magistrate.
