The offer to contest in EPRLF ticket blocked by Mawai Senathyrajah: Accuses Ananthy Sahitharan

In a context where Illankai Tamil Arasu Kachchi (ITAK) had declined an application to contest the elections in Federal Party Ticket, Mawai Senathyrajah had blocked an offer made by EPRLF, for her to contest in the EPRLF ticket, Ananthy Sashitharan had accused.

She was talking in the Sakthi TV program on Sunday, today, when she made this accusation.

I submitted an application to contest the elections on behalf of the Federal Party. No decision was taken on my application. But when the EPRLF offered one out of the two seat allocated for them to her, it was completely refused by the Leader of the Federal Party, Mawai Senathyrajah. Under no circumstances Ananthy should given a seat because she will not respect our control, he had said. As I am in the Federal Party, no other party could give a seat to me and they also will not give a seat he had said, said she.

Placing much criticisms on the TNA, she also accused that she mentioning about the role of India in the war against Tamil is not at all to the liking of the TNA.

The TNA Leadership thinks that the true opinions, that are said by her like this, as a member of the NPC will gain more importance if she say them in the Parliament, and that it will cause un-comfortable situations to the TNA, she said.
