The Remains of two women found at Mulli in Ariyalai

Illegal sand miners had unearthed and abandoned the two skeletons with articles of women at Mulli in Ariyalai around 200 meters away from the Railway Crossing between Ariyalai and Chemmany. The area is full of thickets and young Palmyrahs (Vadalies). A person who went on a hare hunt had found them and informed the police.

One skull, several bones inner and outer garments of two women, school bag, an umbrella a pencil and two types of ladies slippers are among the articles found in the spot. Further there is a gunshot wound on the skull. It is presumed that two women had been buried there and speculation were rife that more people could had been buried there.

Former MP, Suresh Premachandran who visited the spot in the evening said there are no cemeteries close by and the area was under the control of the Army earlier.
