Thousands Protest in Kilinochchi insisting that no time extension be granted to GOSL

Thousands of Tamils protested in Kilinochchi this morning, calling on the UN Human Rights Council not to extend time for Sri Lanka (HRC 34/1).

The struggle started in front of the Kilinochchi Kandasamy Temple at 9.00 a.m and then proceeded along A9 high way to Depot Junction and a memorandum was handed over to the UN Office.

The protest had been called   by the relatives of the Missing persons in view of the completion of 2 years of the struggle started by them demanding justice for the missing persons and insisting that no time extension be granted to GOSL in the UNHRC. Several factions had pledged support for the protest called by the Relatives of Missing person.
