TNA getting ready for General strike for the TPPs release

The Leader of ITAK and TNA MP, Mawai Senathirajah said that, the TNA will issue a call for General strike  demanding the release of Tamil Political Prisoners (TPPs)  and in support  of the fast unto death undertaken by the TPPs.

Our Tamil brethren  who had been jailed under PTA and sentenced by courts, are fighting for their release without a future and release. TNA was promised a stage by stage release. We are calling for the parallel release of Muslim prisoners also. Justice should be established. It is essential that we act beyond party discrimination.We are in contact with several organisations and the call for the general strike will be issued soon, he said.
