US Embassy Official visit Mannar Sathosa Mass grave

An Official from  US Embassy had made a visit to the Mannar Sathosa Mass grave yesterday and had made observations there.

The Special Judicial Medical Officer Chamintha Rajapakse had said at Media Conference yesterday that 151 Human remains had been identified so far and 144 of them had been removed for safe custody. 17 of the skeletons recovered were of children and some unidentifiable articles also had been recovered he had said.

Replying a question of the media as to whether anything connected to garments had been recovered, he said no such items had been recovered.

It is notable that an official of the US Embassy had visited the Mass grave and had made observations.
