Vacancies in Jaffna Teaching Hospital not filled for the last 2 years, Director Sathiyamoorthy express concern at DDC meeting
The Director of the Jaffna Teaching Hospital expressed concern at the DDC meeting held yesterday at the District Secretariat that vacancies are existing in the important cadres of Doctors Nurses and minor staff and they had not been filled in the last two years.
We have encountered crisis situations because of this staff shortages, he said.
He further said that the Director of Health Services had promised that these vacancies would be filled during this year.
He also said that the children’s Hospital will be located at Inuvil, Eye Hospital at Ariyalai and the funds provided by the Ministry is insufficient for any large scale construction like Maternity Hospital.
