Visiting President should release the land for Children’s Hospital, request Doctors
The Doctors of the Jaffna Teaching Hospital have requested that the President who is visiting Jaff should release the land at Pannai, Jaffna, belong to the Teaching Hospital and currently occupied by the Army, for the purpose of the construction of Children’s Hospital.
The president who will visit Jaffna, day after tomorrow should release the above land and clear the uncertainty regarding the land the doctors said.1,000 Million had been set aside in the 2017 budget for the construction of the Children’s Hospital and 1.5 acre were needed to build the hospital and if the land is not received in time the money may be diverted to some other place. We are only asking to release the land that belongs to the Hospital, they said.
Several development projects of the Teaching Hospital are affected by the non-availability of Lands. Beneovalent people or Diaspora kins should come forward to donate lands in close proximity to hospital said the Director of the Hospital, Dr.Sathiyamoorthy.
