Water level in Iranaimadhu Tank rises up to 35’ 4”

Several Tanks in Kilinochchi including Iranaimadu have filled up due to the heavy rains that prevailed in Kilinochchi.

As per the information of the Irrigation Department of  Kilinochchi District, the water level of the Iranaimadu tank with  a holding capacity of  36’ had filled up to 35’ 4”, while the water level of Akkarayan kulam with a holding capacity 25’ had gone up to 24’’ 3”.

These figures were obtained from recordings up to 7 a.m. yesterday, said the Irrigation Department.
