We will contest in North and East on a policy of “ One Country Two Nations”: Gajendrakumar Ponnambalam
The Tamil National Front (TNPF) will continue its journey on a policy of One Country Two Nations. Tamilpeople should decide whether they are going to vote for the destruction of the Tamil Nationalism or the rise of the Tamil Nationalism, pointed out Gajendrakumar Ponnambalam, the Leader of the TNPF.
He was talking to the media yesterday regarding the stance the TNPF will take in the impending general Elections.
Elaborating further, he said that TNPF will contest in the Cycle symbol of the All Ceylon Tamil congress, in the Election in Northern and Eastern provinces. As far as we are concerned, this election will be a turning point for us he said.
In this context people had to take a clear cut decision. We are meeting this election with a policy of ‘One Country Two Nations’ , which we are propagating for the last 5 years.
In this circumstances, Tamil people should decide whether they are going to vote for the destruction of the Tamil Nationalism or the rise of the Tamil Nationalism. We the Tamil people have struggled for the last 60 years, in democratic and armed way. A suitable price for our toils and the sacrifices, shall only be living in a unique country with self determination rights.
The voice of the TNPF had ranged against all sorts of organizational genocide including, The matters of the people who had gone missing even after the war, Tamil Political Prisoners, the re-settlement of Tamil people , land grabs, militarization, planned colonization, and exploiting us economically in Northern and Eastern Provinces.
Above all, we have done our duty for our race in the International level against the genocide against Tamil People and the war crimes during war period and we are intending to continue it.
In this context, the days are drawing nea, when Tamil people had to decide whether they are going to vote for the destruction of the Tamil Nationalism or the rise of the Tamil Nationalism, he said.
