‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ inspired from Chiranjeevi’s film?

Bajrangi Bhaijaan looks to be inspired from megastar Chiranjeevi’s yesteryear super hit film ‘Pasivadi Pranam’ (1987), if the trailer of the Salman-starrer has anything to go by.

The plot line of ‘Pasivadi Pranam’ revolves around a Painter (Chiranjeevi), whose quest lies in discovering the true identity of an orphan and his parents. This is predominantly the plot line of ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’, in which the superstar tries to find the identity of a girl, who enters India from Pakisthan.

Interestingly, ‘Pasivadi Pranam’ itself is a remake of “Poovinnu Puthiya Poonthennal”, a Malayalam movie starring Mammootty. So with Bajrangi Bhaijaan set for release on July 1, we’ll get to know more.
