BTCL Cricket Tournament 2015 started in Grand Fashion
British Tamil Cricket League (BTCL) cricket tournament 2015 started officially on 26 April 2015 at venues across England.
Forty four teams with approximately thousand players playing every Sunday.
The teams are currently split into five divisions: Premier, Super, Champions, Legends, and Community, and 22 league format matches will take place every Sunday for the duration of the season until 14th September 2015. All 370 matches will be umpired by experienced umpires.
The BTCL has drawn significant attention from a number of other community cricket leagues in the UK due to its rapid growth and development and has gained the recognition of several county cricket boards for its advances in promoting cricket.
The BTCL also actively participates in the provision of cricketing and educational opportunities in impoverished communities in Sri Lanka and is currently organising a number of charitable fundraising events for the coming season.
